Blue Cross of California to Anthem

On April 1, 2008, Blue Cross of California changed its name to Anthem Blue Cross. The Blue Cross brand has been around for 70 years (or more?), and Anthem decided it was a good idea to merge it with its own. Do you think this will help or hurt the brand, the image, and/or the trust that people have placed in Blue Cross over the decades?

Change of name

Blue Cross of California a subsidiary of Wellpoint, Inc is changed it name to Anthem Blue Cross.
